DR employees registration

The Dominican Ministry of Labor reminded employers on January 1st, 2021, that they must submit to the Labor Department a certified list of staff employed on a fixed-term basis for an indefinite period, within fifteen days following the starting of their activities.

According to article 15 of regulation number 258-93 annually, every employer is obliged to submit to the Department of Labor, within fifteen (15) days following the starting of its activities, a certified list of the personnel employed on a fixed-term basis for an indefinite period or for a specific work or service, stating the salary corresponding of each worker, his or her name, nationality, occupation, number and serial number of the identity card and his or her gender.

Likewise, the institution informed that this certified list of employees document must be filed before the Ministry of Labor within the period of 15 days, and by January 15 of every year, in order to proceed with the registration and avoid possible labor sanctions provided under the Dominican labor code.
