Dominican Rep .DO TLD 25 Years

The Dominican Republic will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the top level domain (TLD) .DO as part of a four day event called Internet Week on August 22 to 25 of 2016.

The event is organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Registry (LACNIC), ICANN, the Latin America and the Caribbean TLD Association (LACTLD), the Dominican Telecom Institute (Indotel) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra as administrator of the TLD.DO.

According to the LACTLD all country code TLDs in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region have showed positive annual growth rates notwithstanding the downward trend in the growth of domain names across all other TLD groups.
